Louis Vuitton Vintage Monogram Trousse Toilette 19 (1988)

A remarkable piece of vintage Louis Vuitton from 1988.

The Louis Vuitton Trousse Toilette 19 was originally designed as a travel toiletry and cosmetic case, but today it is one of those vintage pieces that works just as beautifully as a clutch, organizer or everyday pouch.

Made in France in April 1988, this example is now approximately 38 years old and has been incredibly well preserved.

The exterior is finished in Louis Vuitton's classic Monogram coated canvas with a structured gusseted silhouette and a long zip closure that extends down the sides of the pouch. Inside is the original light-coloured lining. The condition is what makes this one so good. The Monogram canvas remains rich and beautifully preserved, the structure is excellent, and the interior is remarkably clean for its age.

A beautiful example of just how well vintage Louis Vuitton was made.

CONDITION

Remarkable vintage condition.

For a piece dating to 1988, this Trousse Toilette has been exceptionally well preserved.

The Monogram coated canvas remains rich and vibrant with excellent definition throughout. The pouch maintains its shape beautifully, with clean corners and edges.

The interior is exceptionally clean for its age and presents beautifully.

The original brass zipper and hardware show natural age-related patina and light surface wear consistent with a vintage Louis Vuitton piece. The zipper remains functional.

Minor signs of age and previous use may be present throughout, as expected from a piece approaching four decades old.
