Louis Vuitton Monogram Danube Crossbody (2000)

A true Louis Vuitton vintage classic in exceptional condition. The Danube is one of those wonderfully practical archival LV styles that has aged incredibly well. Its slim rectangular silhouette, adjustable monogram strap and exterior slip pocket make it an easy everyday crossbody without the bulk of a larger bag.

This particular Danube dates to 2000 and is an especially beautiful example. The Monogram canvas remains rich and vibrant, the vachetta leather has developed a warm, even honey patina, and the brass hardware is exceptionally bright for its age.

Both pockets have been professionally cleaned, which is worth highlighting on a vintage Danube since deterioration and sticky pocket linings are very common on older examples.

CONDITION

Exceptional vintage condition.

The Monogram canvas is beautifully preserved with strong colour and no obvious cracking visible in the photographs. The vachetta has developed an attractive golden honey patina with light signs of age and use. Hardware remains remarkably bright and clean.

The adjustable strap presents beautifully with clean glazing and hardware. Both the interior and exterior pockets have been professionally cleaned.

As with any 26-year-old vintage piece, minor signs of previous wear should be expected. Please review all photographs closely as they form part of the condition description.
